Sentinel Connect ("the App") is owned and operated by Piratech, LLC with sales and marketing support from Vaydr LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

The short version: Your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or share your personal information.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Sentinel Connect is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect:

• Your location data

• Your contacts

• Your emergency plans

• Your position history

• Your name or phone number

• Any usage analytics

• Any device identifiers

All your data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Optional Exception: During initial setup, you may choose to provide your email address to receive product updates. If you do, your email and first name are sent to our email service provider (Buttondown). This is entirely optional and can be skipped.

How the App Works

Local Data Storage

All information you enter into Sentinel Connect (profile, contacts, plans, position history) is stored only on your device. We have no access to this data.

Location Services

The App uses your device's GPS to determine your location. This information is:

• Processed entirely on your device

• Never sent to Piratech, LLC or Vaydr LLC

• Only shared when YOU choose to send it via a message to your contacts

Messaging Sharing

When you share your position or send alerts, the App uses your device's standard messaging functionality. These messages go directly from your device to your recipients. We do not have access to these messages.

Backup Files

If you create a backup of your data, the backup file is stored on your device or wherever you choose to save it (e.g., iCloud Drive, email). We do not have access to your backup files.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties.

The only parties with access to app-related business information are:

• Piratech, LLC - App owner and developer

• Vaydr LLC - Sales and marketing partner

Neither party has access to your personal data stored in the App, as that data never leaves your device.

Third-Party Services

Apple Services

The App uses the following Apple services:

• App Store - For app distribution and subscriptions

• Apple Maps - For map display within the app

• StoreKit - For subscription management

Buttondown (Email Notifications)

During initial setup, you may optionally provide your email address to receive product updates and tips. If you choose to provide your email:

• Your email address and first name are sent to Buttondown (buttondown.com), our email newsletter service

• This is the only data transmission from the App

• You can skip this step entirely using the "No thanks" option

• You can unsubscribe from emails at any time

No Other Third Parties

Beyond Apple services and Buttondown (optional, opt-in only), we do not use:

• Analytics services

• Advertising networks

• Crash reporting services

• Any other third-party data collection tools

Subscriptions

Sentinel Connect offers subscription plans managed through the Apple App Store. Your payment information is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment details.

Apple may share basic subscription status information with us (e.g., whether you have an active subscription) but no personal payment information.

Children's Privacy

Sentinel Connect does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App is intended for use by families, and we recommend parents set up the App for their children.

Data Security

Since your data never leaves your device, you are in control of its security. We recommend:

• Enabling PIN lock in the App

• Using a device passcode

• Creating regular backups stored securely

Your Rights

Because we don't collect your data, there is no data for us to delete, modify, or provide to you. You have complete control over your data within the App:

• Delete contacts, plans, or history anytime

• Clear all data through the App settings

• Delete the App to remove all associated data from your device

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
