Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using any Sentinel Labs application ("the Apps"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Sentinel Labs is a brand of Piratech, LLC, a Texas limited liability company, with sales and marketing support from Vaydr LLC.

These Terms apply to all Sentinel Labs applications, including Sentinel Connect, Sentinel Planner, and Sentinel Watch.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our Apps.

Description of Services

Sentinel Labs develops privacy-first applications designed to help individuals and families with personal safety, emergency preparedness, and secure information management. Our Apps may include features such as:

Location tracking and sharing
Emergency planning and coordination
Contact management
Check-in and alert systems
Encrypted document storage
Privacy education and tools

Specific features vary by application.

Use of the Apps

Permitted Use

You may use our Apps for personal, non-commercial purposes to:

Manage your personal safety and emergency preparedness
Share your location with family and contacts you designate
Create and manage emergency plans
Store and encrypt personal documents
Coordinate with others during emergencies or daily life

Prohibited Use

You may not:

Use any App to track anyone without their knowledge or consent
Use any App for stalking, harassment, or illegal surveillance
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any App
Use any App for any unlawful purpose
Share your subscription access with anyone outside your Apple Family Sharing group
Attempt to circumvent any security features
Use the Apps in any way that could harm others

Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Plans

Sentinel Labs apps may offer subscription plans. Pricing varies by application and may include:

Monthly subscriptions
Annual subscriptions
One-time purchases
Free tiers with limited features

Current pricing is displayed within each App and on the App Store. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.

Free Trials

Some Apps offer free trial periods. Trial details are displayed before purchase.

Family Sharing

Subscriptions may support Apple Family Sharing for up to 6 family members where indicated.

Billing

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings

Refunds

All purchases are processed through Apple. Refund requests must be made through Apple according to their refund policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Emergency Use Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Sentinel Labs applications are designed to assist with personal safety and emergency preparedness but are NOT a substitute for professional emergency services.

Always call 911 or your local emergency number in life-threatening situations
Our Apps depend on GPS satellites, cellular networks, and device functionality which may be unavailable during disasters
SMS and message delivery is not guaranteed during emergencies
Do not rely solely on any App for emergency communication
Our Apps are tools to supplement, not replace, official emergency services

"As Is" Provision

The Apps are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

Accuracy of GPS location data
Availability of GPS satellites or cellular networks
Successful delivery of SMS messages or alerts
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Security of encrypted data against all possible attacks
Compatibility with all devices or operating system versions

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Piratech, LLC and Vaydr LLC shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Apps
Any damages arising from emergency situations
Any unauthorized access to your data on your device
Any damages resulting from third-party actions

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Apps in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the security of your device, PIN codes, and passwords
Backing up your data regularly
Ensuring your contacts have consented to receive alerts or messages from you
Using the Apps in compliance with all applicable laws
Keeping your device charged and functional
Safeguarding any encryption keys or passwords you create
Understanding the limitations of technology during emergencies

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. In summary: we don't collect your personal data — it stays on your device.

Intellectual Property

Sentinel Labs, including all Apps, their designs, features, and content, are owned by Piratech, LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. The Sentinel Labs name, logo, and app names are trademarks of Piratech, LLC.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of our Apps without written permission.

Changes to the Apps

We may update, modify, or discontinue any App or any features at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of any App.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our Apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to any App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

International Use

Sentinel Labs apps are available worldwide. These Terms apply regardless of where you are located. Where local mandatory consumer protection laws provide greater protections than these Terms, those local laws apply.

Standard carrier messaging rates apply when using SMS features. Rates vary by region and carrier. International SMS messages may incur additional charges from your mobile provider. Sentinel Labs does not control or charge for SMS delivery.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Piratech, LLC regarding the use of our Apps.

Apple App Store Terms

This section applies to any Sentinel Labs application downloaded through the Apple App Store.

Acknowledgement

You acknowledge that this agreement is between you and Piratech, LLC only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Piratech, LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Apps and their content. This agreement may not provide for usage rules that are less restrictive than the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions as of the date you enter into this agreement.

Scope of License

The license granted to you for the Apps is a limited, non-transferable license to use the Apps on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. This license does not allow you to make the Apps available over a network where they could be used by multiple devices at the same time, except as permitted through Apple Family Sharing.

Maintenance and Support

Piratech, LLC is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the Apps, as specified in this agreement or as required under applicable law. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the Apps.

Warranty

Piratech, LLC is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the Apps to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the applicable App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Apps, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be Piratech, LLC's sole responsibility.

Product Claims

You acknowledge that Piratech, LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims you or any third party may have relating to the Apps or your possession and use of the Apps, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Apps fail to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

Intellectual Property Claims

In the event of any third-party claim that the Apps or your possession and use of the Apps infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Piratech, LLC, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.

Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that: (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Third Party Terms of Agreement

You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the Apps. For example, if you use a VoIP application, you must not be in violation of their wireless data service agreement when using the Apps. You are solely responsible for any applicable third-party fees, including wireless data charges and carrier messaging rates.

Third Party Beneficiary

You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms of Service, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
